Hello everyone!

I saw this tag on Beth’s blog and I thought it looked like fun, so I decided to give this a try! Since there are many questions, I’ll try to keep my answers short and snappy so you guys won’t be stuck here forever lol :’)

1) What’s your name?

Sophia (YES, with an “a”)

2) Any nicknames or aliases?

Sophie, which I think sounds so much cuter and less formal.

3) Your gender?

Female.

4) Your star sign?

Capricorn.

5) How old are you?

You mean how young I am? 😉 In which case the answer is 27!

6) Your relationship status?

Engaged!!!!!!

7) Any children?

None (yet 😉 )

8) Any pets?

You guys have probably heard about my dogs, Charles (the greyhound) and Zander (the latest addition to our family- a mini pinscher.)

9) Any tattoos or piercings?

Pierced ears. I did try to get a tattoo in Vegas but chickened out at last minute :’)

10 What do you like about yourself?

Willpower, discipline, and creativity. A killer combination I’d say!

11) What do you dislike about yourself?

Despite the best of intentions, sometimes I can be very awkward.

12) Righty or lefty?

Righty!

20) The last time you cried:

I have a very low threshold for tears and a pretty bad memory so I probably cried some time after this, but this was a conversation with my fiance after we went out for dinner last Monday:

Fiance: Remember that time we had Vietnamese food and we were taking a walk in the neighbourhood before I drove you to the airport, and the sun was setting and you pointed to the sky and you said, “wow, look the cloud looks like a bird!” and I was thinking, you’re right it does look like a bird. And then I was sad because I thought this was such a perfect moment and one day it’s all going to end.

Me: ……..

21) The last blog you read:

cropped-blog-header

“August 2018 Recap” by Beth @ Reading Every Night. I am amazed that Beth read 11 books in August! She also reminded me that Wildcard, the sequel to Warcross, is going to be released on September 18 which I am SO EXCITED ABOUT!!!

24) Your last holiday abroad:

– Your Beliefs and Opinions –

49) Do you believe in aliens?

Yes! The universe is so big, there are so many galaxies outside of ours, so it is more likely than not that there is another planet that is conducive to life. However, I believe that aliens will not look anything like what we’ve imagined. The aliens we see in movies and TV shows are still very similar to us, aren’t they? They have eyes, faces, and arms, which means that their bodies likely function very similarly to ours. If life were to evolve independently on a different planet, it is likely to take a very different form.

50) Do you believe in miracles?

I believe in happy coincidences. For examples, if I haven’t stumbled across a book blog during my early WordPress days, I might not have been swept up in the book blogging community. If my fiance didn’t want to do Nanowrimo in 2016, I might not have been inspired to do it myself, and I might not have gotten back into my hobby of writing, therefore I wouldn’t have started this blog. Et cetera 🙂

51) Do you believe in the power of positive thinking?

Yes! I am realistic because I believe that there are pros and cons to every situation, and that with the chance of success, there is also the chance of failure. However, I think that having a positive mindset makes us more receptive to ideas and opportunities that we wouldn’t consider otherwise.

52) Do you believe in love at first sight?

Nope. Love comes after years of knowing each other’s positive and negative traits, and learning to embrace all aspects of a person.

53) Can money make you happy?

Diminishing-returns-1024x727

I think the relationship between money and happiness follows the law of diminishing returns. We need a minimum amount of money to be happy, however after this minimum is satisfied, there must be other things such as fulfillment, purpose and belonging that makes us happy.

54) Would you describe yourself as a feminist?

I believe that women can be as accomplished as men.

55) Are you pro-life or pro-choice?

This is a bit too political for me. Skip please 🙂

56) Do you have strong political beliefs?

Not really.

57) Do you have strong religious beliefs?

Nope.

58) What do you think the most important thing you can give a child is?

… Food.

  1. Pretty amazing! I love those tidbits of info! As for 65 (I think) it’s thankfully not a thing though it happens but I would seriously contemplate a coup to grab power and outlaw such a practice if it ever became fashion.

    1. LOL Yes socks with sandals and slippers should definitely be outlawed!!

  2. I really enjoyed reading your answers, Sophie (or do you prefer Sophia? :D) I really liked your answer on 53, it’s so on point! Also, living in a tropical country, socks and slippers are not a thing because it’s just too hot to even wear socks haha!

    1. I definitely prefer Sophie! Sophia reminds me too much of work haha 🙂
That’s great to hear that socks and slippers are not a thing where you live because it is tropical (they shouldn’t be a thing anywhere!!) Just curious which country you are from? 🙂

      1. Oh nice 🙂 I’ve always wondered what it’s like to live in a tropical place!

  3. Hi Sophie! ❤ I'm so happy you did this tag, I loved reading this so much ❤
    Your dogs look so adorable.
And, aerm. Just reading that conversation with your fiancé makes me want to cry, wow. He's intense – but he sounds quite awesome as well haha 🙂
And oh my god this thing where people wear slippers with socks, WHY, I hate that too hahaha.

    1. Hello Marie ❤
Aww yes Carl (my fiance) is quite intense! He loves movies which may explain his dramatic view of things 🙂
LOL yes glad that I'm not the only one who dislikes the slippers and socks trend!!

  4. I’m so glad you decided to take part in this tag Sophie, I loved reading your answers and learning more about you.
I’m still shocked your name is actually Sophia (you’ll always be Sophie to me) and oh I tried bubble tea when I was in Dubai and loved it, now I need to find somewhere in the UK that does it. 🙂
I’m not surprised picked dogs (there was no other choice for that question right?!) and the trend of wearing socks with sandals needs to die a quick death. I don’t get the point because surely it defeats the purpose of wearing sandals to pair them with socks. Are you saying it’s too warm for trainers or something but too cold for sandals alone?! :/
Great answers for these questions and great post too. 🙂 ❤️

    1. That’s great to hear that you enjoyed bubble tea in Dubai! Bubble tea is actually super common where I live (maybe even more common than regular cafes) because there are lots of Asians here 🙂
Lol YES wearing socks totally defeats the purpose of sandals. Here I see people wearing not just sandals but slippers (like the kind you wear to the pool or the bathroom) with socks which drives me crazy! I don’t think slippers shouldn’t be worn outside, period.
      Thank you Beth ❤

      1. Yeah, well I know there are places to get it in London (because there’s somewhere to get everything in London if you look hard enough) it’s just finding out where.
Noooo slippers are for inside use only.
        That’s all right! 🙂 ❤️

  5. Hi Sophie,
Question 93 was a funny one because when I was 4 or 5 I wanted to be a YELLOW BUTTERFLY!!! My family still teases me about it today. Plus if I had a superpower that will be to read people’s mind/Control their mind because I can see people’s thought and control what they are doing (if they are doing something wrong).

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Awww that’s adorable that you wanted to be a yellow butterfly!! 🙂
It would be a very useful superpower to read/control people’s minds. I’m sure with that you can take over the world!

  10. Hey sorry, it’s me again. Do you know why #69-73 are skipped? I went back to Beth’s post, and the posts of people tagged before her. All of them have those numbers skipped, for some reason. :/

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Yeah I noticed that too but I don’t know why :/ so in reality it is fewer than 100 questions lol

      2. Sophie, I found a post where the 100 questions are all there: https://meandmymundanelife.wordpress.com/2018/07/19/100-truths-tag/

I’ll answer the skipped questions as well. Lol, many of the skipped questions are very discomforting, so no wonder they were omitted. Some of the questions cut out are quite innocent and easy to answer, though. I wonder who started cutting them out, haha.

      3. Oh wow, good job on tracking down the lost questions 🙂 I can see what you mean in that some of these questions are very personal so I can imagine why they were taken out. I’ll read your post soon!
