Hello everyone!
How are you all doing? Hope you guys enjoyed the B&W Photo Challenge last week! A big thanks to Darren @ The Arty Plantsman for the nomination. Darren has a beautiful garden and also creates botanical art. Be sure to check out his blog!
Today I will reveal the colour versions of the photos and to tell you a bit of the story about them.
Day 1
As many of you may have guessed, this is Zander, the new addition to our family! He is a senior dog that we adopted from a shelter a few weeks ago, and he’s already made it into our hearts. I think in my previous post I said that Zander was 10 years old, however there is new evidence that he might be 14!
In this photo, we’d just given Zander a bath and he was shivering quite a bit. We tried to cover him with a towel (though he would always shake it off!)
Day 2
This is a covered walkway near my building which is decorated with pretty drawings of umbrellas (designed by children) and Christmas-style lights! This is a construction site for a new building, so I appreciate the effort to beautify it.
Day 3
Many of you are impressed by this table! So are we! When my fiance and I saw this table at a charity shop, we fell in love at first sight. That steam-punk style! The height is adjustable by turning the wheel!? It appealed to the inner child in us and we knew we had to buy it right away.
However, it turned out to not very practical. We wanted to use it as our dining table, but there is no leg room! On the plus side, it looks super awesome and is a great conversation starter when we get visitors :’)
Day 4
You guys were pretty curious about this sign that I have! It is a felt letter-board with attachable letters, which means that you can piece together your own message (and change it up whenever you feel like it!) I purchased this letter-board to support my friend’s business. If you’re looking for something like this for your own home, check out her product here on Amazon (just $22.89 CAD which is a steal!)
Day 5
Despite this rainbow is black-and-white, it is awesome that many of you were able to correctly guess what it was! This is the view from my window after a rainy day. It was the most complete rainbow I’ve ever seen so I had to capture it on camera.
I can’t decide whether I like the colour or black and white version better: Although I appreciate the colours of the rainbow, I think it is cool that you can see the rainbow even in the black and white version. Which do you like better?
Day 6
You guys guessed correctly that this is Charles, our first fur baby! He is such a diva and knows exactly how to pose for the camera. Here he is pretending to snuggle up with his toy, mini-Charles. (Pretending, because Charles in actuality does not like snuggling up with his toys…… Haha okay, I’ll confess that we staged this photo :’) )
Day 7
Isn’t this one awesome? Doesn’t it look like a cabin floating in the clouds? I would love to live in a place like this (or just have a cabin like this where I can occasionally retreat to for some quality writing time haha).
If you are curious, this is an art installation on the waterfront of Vancouver city 🙂
